ABOUT MIN WINDLE

I have been in the Film Industry for 30 years, and I am the first woman to be graded and qualify as a Stunt Coordinator on the Stunt Guild of New Zealand, with over 20 Stunt Coordinator credits.

I have been a Stunt Performer/Lead Double in New Zealand since 1995 with over 100 credits including Feature Films, Telemovies, TV Series, TVC’s, Short Films and Theatre Shows. I am a member of the Stunt Guild of New Zealand, Equity, WIFT NZ and the Australian Stunt Register of the MEAA since 2001.

I am very passionate about the creative process of Filmmaking, especially the physical nature of action, movement and performance. My passion combined with experience both performing and coordinating, contributes a safe and supportive collaborative approach to achieve the Director’s vision. This requires working with Actors and Stunt Performers with varying skill, experience, and confidence to achieve the desired action and aesthetic together.

My background as a Contemporary Dancer and Physical Theatre Actor has helped me shape physicality for screen performance including doubling lead female actors, character and creature performance, and motion capture.

I am also very passionate to share my experience and knowledge as a natural progression for my desire to support and train, teach and guide, and inspire those on this path or in this industry. A Screen Action and Performance Workshop is offering a platform to learn fundamental techniques to safely create and perform action on screen, and a crucial understanding of how to shoot a scene/sequence while combining character, action, performance and safety.
